Eye-catching bubble design meets acoustic performance at Laundry Warehouse
Laundry Warehouse
Address: 127-149 Nicholson Street, Brunswick East, VIC
Architect: Braszell Projects
Builder: Storebuild Australia
Products: SUPACOUSTIC – Acoustic Panels

The Laundry Warehouse in Brunswick East provided an opportunity to explore creative design with high-functioning acoustic control. In collaboration with Braszell Projects and Storebuild Australia, SUPAWOOD supplied a ceiling system that delivered both design flair and engineered performance.

The bubble design adds a playful and contemporary rhythm to the ceiling, making a strong feature statement while seamlessly integrating into the laundromat’s industrial shell. This bold and playful touch injects personality into an otherwise industrial space, bringing a sense of movement and softness to the ceiling without overwhelming the space.

SUPACOUSTIC panels were chosen not only for their aesthetics, but also for their exceptional acoustic functionality. Finished in SUPAFINISH White, the SUPACOUSTIC panels were installed across the ceiling to enhance the sound quality and reduce reverberation.

Beneath the surface, these panels work hard. Their high NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) rating ensures the space performs as well as it looks by reducing echo and improving hearing clarity in this open-plan environment. This was essential for creating a comfortable atmosphere in what can otherwise be an extremely noisy and reverberant space.

SUPAWOOD is proud to have provided functional materials that could bring a strong visual identity to the space. From design through to delivery, SUPAWOOD provided end-to-end support with detailed shop drawings, acoustic data and installation guidance, ensuring the project came together smoothly and met every technical requirement.
