The Corpus Christi Primary School Hall in Waratah, NSW, has undergone a significant transformation thanks to the collaborative efforts of Shaddock Architects and Kingston Building. The goal of the project was to modernise the school’s hall, creating a space with improved acoustics suitable for performances, assemblies and community events, while ensuring a welcoming and visually cohesive environment.
SUPAWOOD was engaged to supply high-performance architectural lining solutions that could meet the project’s demanding acoustic, fire-resistance and aesthetic criteria. Through close collaboration with the project team, the upgrade was delivered smoothly and on schedule.
To achieve both visual warmth and acoustic functionality, SUPAWOOD supplied SUPACOUSTIC perforated acoustic panels for the ceiling and SUPALINE solid panels for the walls. Both products were finished in Blackbutt SUPAFINISH, chosen for its natural timber look and compliance with stringent fire and acoustic performance requirements. Concealed fixings were used throughout, allowing for a seamless, high-end finish that enhances the overall aesthetic and elevates the perceived quality of the space.
A key challenge for this project was the requirement for a short lead time. SUPAWOOD’s fully Australian-made product range enabled faster turnaround times—among the shortest in the industry—without compromising on quality. Combined with a broad range of adaptable solutions, this capability was instrumental in ensuring the project’s success.
